Parham Karbasi

About

I'm Parham.I design, build, lead and learn for a living.

Based in Naples, originally from Tehran. I design and build iOS apps from the first sketch to the App Store listing, lead product work, run research, and turn data into stories that hold up. I treat learning as the job — and I always have.

What I do

Build native apps.

Swift, SwiftUI, Apple Intelligence. Six apps shipped on iPhone, iPad, watchOS, and macOS — six more on the way.

Design products.

UI, UX, and the small details that compound. Where my care sits most days, and where the work either earns its place or doesn't.

Lead & research.

Product management and user research. Turning ambiguous goals into shipped, measurable work — and ambitious ideas into something a team can actually build.

Analyse data.

Data into insight, insight into decisions, decisions into experiences that matter. Spreadsheets, notebooks, dashboards — whatever the question needs.

Teach & mentor.

Two years teaching English in Tehran taught me that explaining things clearly is its own discipline. I bring that posture to every team I'm on — and to anyone who asks.

Keep learning.

I switched fields, countries, and disciplines on purpose — because curiosity is the only renewable resource I trust. I read, I tinker, I ask awkward questions, and I take notes.

Principles

Your data stays yours.

Privacy is the first decision I make on every project — not the last. Some of my apps stay fully on-device today; others may run with accounts and sync tomorrow. The rule never bends: your data is never tracked, never sold, never the product.

Designed for everyone.

An app that excludes anyone isn't finished. I design with screen readers, dynamic type, motor differences, and color sensitivity in mind from the first sketch — because accessibility isn't a settings menu. It's how the thing should work.

The details are the work.

An app gets great in the small places: the hairline padding, the easing on a button press, the verb on a call to action. The details aren't the polish phase. They're the entire job.
