Pannier operates on a simple principle: your data is yours. The app is engineered to keep everything locally on your Mac.
Data collection
Pannier collects no data. No personal information, no usage analytics, no external crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no device identifiers.
How Pannier works
When you press ⌃⌘L, the app reads the URL from your clipboard and stores it locally. No URL, page title, or any other data is ever sent to a server.
Storage
Saved links are stored locally using Apple's standard data persistence APIs. This data never leaves your Mac and isn't accessible to anyone other than you. Links auto-expire based on your configured timeout — anywhere from 12 hours to 30 days — and are deleted automatically when they expire.
Third-party services
Pannier uses no third-party SDKs, no analytics, no advertising networks, no external APIs.
Children's privacy
The app collects no data from anyone, including children. It carries a 4+ rating on the Mac App Store.
