How does the daily phrase work?
Each day, the Today tab shows one featured phrase in the language you chose, with its literal translation and a note on what it really means and who you can say it to. It's the same phrase all day, and it matches the widget. Tap "Show me another" whenever you want to explore more.
Which languages are included?
Persian, Italian, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and English. The app's own buttons and labels are in English; the phrases themselves are in each language, in their own script.
How do I change the language, or who a phrase is for?
Open Settings (the gear icon) to change the primary language, the relationship, the recipient's name, and the gender forms. In Browse you can also peek at any other language without changing your main one.
Why does it ask about gender?
Some languages change their words depending on who is speaking or who is being spoken to — Italian and Portuguese change with the recipient, Russian with the speaker. Telling the app means it gives you the correct form; if you skip it, the app simply shows both forms with a short note.
How do I save or send a phrase?
Tap the heart to keep a phrase in the Saved tab. Tap Copy to copy the original text — ready to paste into Messages or WhatsApp — or Share to send it as plain text or as a beautiful card.
Is there a Home Screen widget?
Yes. Add the ToMyBoo widget (small or medium) to your Home Screen to see today's phrase at a glance; tapping it opens the app.
Will the daily reminder show the phrase on my lock screen?
No. The optional daily reminder only lets you know today's phrase is ready — it never puts the phrase itself on your lock screen. Turn it on or off, and set the time, in Settings.
Is my data private?
Completely. There's no account, no tracking, and no network — every feature works in airplane mode, and the name you enter never leaves your phone. See the privacy policy at /legal/tomyboo/privacy.
